Please join us Thursday, April 26 from 12-1:30 pm in 224 IG Greer Hall for the following panel on Incorporating Scholarship, Teaching and Learning into your Federally-Funded Research:

  • Undergraduate Research as a High Impact Practice, Susan Colby, Center for Academic Excellence
  • Consortium Exchanging Research Experiences for Undergraduate Students (CEREUS) Approach to Assessing Ecological Responses to Global Change in Southern Appalachia (NSF - IUSE); Howard Neufeld, Biology
  • Appalachian Chemistry Research Experience in Energy and the Environment (ACREE) Project (NSF - REU); Libby Puckett, Chemistry
  • Treating Laryngeal Hyperfunction with Flow Phonation (NIH - R-15); Gary McCullough, Beaver College of Health Sciences

Refreshments/light lunch and beverages will be served.  SCORE is a collaboration between the Office of Research, the Research Institute for Environment, Energy and Economics (RIEEE) and the Blue Cross Blue Shield NC Institute for Health and Human Services (BCBSNC IHHS).  This inter-institute effort to recognize, support and build interdisciplinary research and education at Appalachian included presentations and a funding opportunity last fall.
